Bounce House & Water Slide Safety: A Parent’s Checklist for Pearland and Houston Parties

Inflatables are the highlight of most kids’ parties — and with a few simple rules, they’re also one of the safest. Whether you’re hosting in a Pearland backyard, a Friendswood cul-de-sac or a Missouri City park, this checklist will help you keep every guest safe from setup to pickup.

Not all rental companies are equal. Before you book a bounce house rental in Pearland, ask:

•         What happens if the weather turns? Our weather guarantee lets you reschedule for lightning or high winds.

•         Flat, level ground — grass is best; concrete works with proper anchoring. Slopes over 5° aren’t safe.

•         20–40 ft of clear space for a water slide, plus a buffer around all sides.

•         Away from fences, trees, pools, power lines and sprinkler heads.

•         A standard outlet within 100 ft and, for water slides, a garden hose within 50 ft.

1.        An adult supervises at all times. Assign a “bounce captain” and rotate every 30 minutes.

2.        Group by size. Keep toddlers separate from big kids. A combo bouncer slide is great, but run age-based turns.

3.        No shoes, glasses, jewelry, food or drinks inside the unit.

4.        No flips, wrestling or climbing the walls.

5.        Slide feet-first, one rider at a time on water slides, and clear the landing before the next child goes.

6.        Exit when the wind picks up. Clear all inflatables if sustained winds exceed the limit printed on the unit, or at the first sign of lightning.
